How we use cookies

The Site uses one strictly necessary cookie set by us and, only with your consent, analytics cookies set by Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Strictly necessary. NEXT_LOCALE stores the language you selected, so that the right language version of the Site is served while you browse. It contains only a language code and is a session cookie, with no expiry date.

Analytics. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-HLRGC1QXNR) sets the cookies _ga and _ga_HLRGC1QXNR to count visits and to understand, in aggregate, which pages are read and how visitors move from an article to a project or to our contact pages. Google Signals is switched off, advertising storage and ad personalisation always remain denied, and Google Analytics deletes event-level data after 14 months and user-level data 14 months after your last visit. What you type into our forms (name, email address, message) is not sent to Google Analytics, which only records that a form was started, submitted or returned an error and, when the contact form is sent, the type of request selected in it (buying, investing or partnership). According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

Until you accept, Google Analytics is not loaded and no request is sent to Google.

Google may process this data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For more information, see policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

We do not use advertising, profiling or social-media cookies.

Legal basis. We set Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them in the banner (your consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and the national rules implementing Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC). You can change your choice or withdraw consent at any time from "إعدادات ملفات تعريف الارتباط" (Cookie settings) at the bottom of every page. Withdrawal does not affect processing before it, and the Site then deletes the Google Analytics cookies it had set.

Manage cookie preferences

"إعدادات ملفات تعريف الارتباط" (Cookie settings), at the bottom of every page, opens the cookie banner again. There you can accept or refuse analytics cookies, or change a choice you made earlier. Closing the banner with × keeps only the strictly necessary cookie.

The banner stores your choice in your browser (local storage, key ck_consent_v2) for six months, so that it is not shown again on every page. After six months it asks again.

You can also block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings: see the support pages for Chrome (support.google.com/chrome), Safari (support.apple.com), Firefox (support.mozilla.org) and Edge (support.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge). To stop Google Analytics on any website, Google offers an opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
